7. Repairs
Repair Completion and Collection Terms
Once we have completed the repair of your equipment and notified you via email or telephone that it is ready for collection or delivery, you will have 90 calendar days to settle the invoice and collect the item. If payment is not received within this period, you must contact us in writing (email preferred) explaining the delay and specifying when payment is expected.
If you provide a valid reason, an extension of up to 30 additional days may be granted at our discretion, bringing the maximum holding period to 120 days from the date of the final invoice.
Should your equipment remain uncollected beyond 120 days, and no written agreement is in place, Wells Electronics Ltd reserves the right to dispose of the item without further notice. Disposal may include environmentally responsible recycling or permanent scrapping. We do not offer long-term storage services, and our contractual obligation is strictly limited to the repair of your device.
Unrepairable or Economically Non-Viable Items
If a device is deemed beyond economical repair, or if you decline to proceed after receiving an estimate, we will retain the unit for a maximum of 90 calendar days. After this period, it may be disposed of appropriately unless prior arrangements have been agreed in writing.
Repair Guarantee (Workmanship Warranty)
Repairs carried out by Wells Electronics Ltd are covered by a 90-day workmanship guarantee from the date of collection or delivery. This guarantee applies exclusively to the specific fault(s) addressed and components replaced during the repair.
This guarantee does not extend to:
- Unrelated or new faults that may arise after repair;
- Devices that have been tampered with, misused, or physically damaged after leaving our facility.
If the same fault recurs within the guarantee period, we will reassess the item at no additional cost and, if appropriate, carry out further remedial work free of charge.
8. Service Limitations and Diagnostic Fees
Wells Electronics Ltd offers free diagnostics for most standard repairs. However, for complex systems (e.g., high-value or bespoke electronics), we reserve the right to apply a diagnostic fee, which will be disclosed in advance.
Initial estimates are provided based on your description of the fault. If, upon physical inspection at our workshop, further issues are discovered, we reserve the right to revise the estimate accordingly. You will be contacted to approve any amended quotation before further work is undertaken.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wells Electronics Ltd shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of business, profits, revenue, or data;
- Any claim brought by a third party against the customer;
- Any loss resulting from implementation of recommendations, conclusions, or advice provided by us;
- Any unavailability of equipment for use or corruption of software or data.
In any event, our total liability in respect of any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the product or service giving rise to the claim.
